EULAR 2026: Significant Others of People with Rheumatoid Arthritis Need Greater Involvement and Support

At EULAR 2026, Maria Bergström, occupational therapist and lecturer at Linköping University, presents a qualitative study exploring the views and experiences of significant others of people with rheumatoid arthritis. The findings show limited information, insufficient involvement in treatment and rehabilitation, and a lack of formal support, highlighting the need to regard involvement of significant others as a longitudinal process rather than a one-time intervention.
