Dorthe Bang Berthelsen

Dorthe Bang Berthelsen is a physiotherapist. She has more than 15 years of clinical experience as a physiotherapist including clinical supervision of physiotherapy students before she began her academic career. Since 2016, she has been affiliated with the Section for Biostatistics and Evidence-Based Research at the Parker Institute, Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital, and she has been involved in research within physiotherapy, health promotion and rheumatology.

Currently, Dorthe is doing a PhD focusing on patient’s reports of adverse events in rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. Dorthe is involved with some innovative global initiatives aiming to developing a Core Outcome Set for safety aspects in clinical trials of rheumatology. The project is of international scope and involves partners from the network “Outcome Measures in Rheumatology” (OMERACT) initiative.

Dorthe is also working at the Department of Rehabilitation at the Municipality of Guldborgsund as a physiotherapist responsible for the quality and the development of rehabilitation and health promotion programs.
