Mette Holst

Mette Holst, PhD, is Professor and Head of Applied Research at the Center for Nutrition and Intestinal Failure at the Danish Nutrition Science Center at Aalborg University Hospital and the Department of Clinical Medicine at Aalborg University in Denmark.

She is engaged in practice-oriented research and development studies on nutritional status and function, primarily focusing on disease-related malnutrition, maintenance of weight and function during acute and chronic illness, and aging within interdisciplinary treatment pathways, hospitals, municipalities, and general practice. The methods used include quantitative and qualitative methods, method triangulation, and implementation research.
