Metastatic Deposit Size as a Predictor of Axillary Disease After Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy

This study explored how the size of metastatic deposits in sentinel lymph nodes affects the risk and extent of additional axillary metastasis in clinically node-negative breast cancer patients after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Findings show that larger metastases are linked to higher risk and multiple positive lymph nodes, supporting selective axillary dissection strategies, presented by PhD student Sandra Jensen from Vejle Hospital, Denmark.
